What are you doing this 4th of July? Going to the RC flying field? Chillin’ with friends for a BBQ? What about going to an aviation museum or airshow?
The old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, Rhinebeck, NY is an awesome place to spend a few hours watching some amazing vintage and antique airplanes do what they do best, FLY! Check out some of the sights we saw the last time we paid the $11 to get in the main gate…. Money well spent!
The sights, the sound and the scent of caster oil in the morning, smells like…. vintage victory! All you need is some good music like Jimmy Buffett and you have a perfect day’s adventure.
The Rhinebeck Aerodrome is also a great destination in September as they have an annual RC jamboree for WW1 and vintage scale airplanes. MAN will be there covering all the action so stay tuned!
Gerry, scale is the only way to fly, pun intended. Helis included. Enjoy your articles very much. —Tony
