If you are thinking about attending the 2016 Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome Jamboree for their 50th anniversary, (Sept 9 – 11), then you might want to enter the Mission event. This competition will include the challenging Balloon burst, bomb drop and spot landings events and are based on the older “Mission Event” competition the Jamboree was known for. MAN I planning an upcoming “Build-Along” series for an updated version based of the popular Fokker Eindecker designed by Nick Ziroli back in the ’60s. Ideal for electric or glow power, it will be an ideal airplane to fly in this challenging event from yesteryear. The rules simply state that the engine size if limited to a .60-size 2-stroke glow engine, a 120 size 4-stroke or similar electric power. Lots of people are getting excited so of course we will be there for sure.
