Aerobatic Pilot Flies Big Twin Video Interview with Matt Chapman

We were pleased to run into our long time RC friend and full-scale aerobatic pilot Matt Chapman at the WOD event. Matt was hanging around the flightline with his RC sidekick John Kohler getting his impressive 1/5-scale Beechcraft D-18 twin ready for a flight. Matt’s beautiful twin is built from a st of Nick Ziroli plans and it is powered by a pair of Zenoah G-38 gas engines. Using Futaba gear throughout,Matt put is several impressive flights on Saturday. Most recently, Matt added a set of functional retracting landing lights to his mighty D-18 which is done up in attractive US Navy colors

Matt is a very busy guy with both full size and RC airplane projects and says he has something really interesting in the works for next year,
