L-19 Bird Dog

Mel Gossett writes: This was your featured plan in the issue of Aug. 2002. Easy to build and just as easy to fly. The speed 400 L-19 bird dog is guided with a Hitec flash 5 channel. I changed the wings to have hold down bolts and the gear with fairing to have a cleaner look. The aircraft can be coaxed to do a nice loop from level flight. It does fly the circuit with ease. I’ve only made 16 flights with this “cute” plane. Covered with monokote in a design I found on line, for military aircraft.
