Make a Big Splash with these giant scale Floats

Something of interest to all giant scale and “Monster Scale” RC pilots is that Sea Commander Floats is now offering a 42% scale, 74 ½-inch long, “Round Top” EDO style float for those seaplane lovers who think really big!  And if this is not big enough for you, Sea Commander will also have an 84 ½-inch “flat top” EDO float set available very soon for the Monster Scale flyers out there.

The 42% Scale floats will work perfectly with airplanes such as the Bill Hempel 40% Cub and 38% Decathlon and the AMR 42% scale Decathlon. The 84 1/2 inch floats will work with aircraft similar in size to the TMMY Composites Cessna 182 and their soon to be releases Cessna 185.

Company/Product History

Sea Commander floats are designed for the serious modeler who wants the best and most dependable floats that money can buy. Sea Commander floats are made to take the punishment of hard landings or taxiing onto rough beaches, etc. The three layers of fiberglass cloth and isophthalic resin make all the Sea Commander floats lightweight yet very strong and extremely durable. Sea Commander floats have an 18-degree V-bottom design to help cushion the impact of hard landings and for better directional control.

The scale mounting positions and the water rudder mounting position are reinforced with a ¼-inch high-density composite material. All Sea Commander floats are joined with a structural adhesive formulated for joining fiberglass and are pressure checked for leaks before shipping.

In addition to being the toughest float available, Sea Commander floats are easy to finish because they come ALMOST READY TO FLY! You install the fittings, paint and mount on your airplane. All float orders include mounting guidelines and fiberglass finishing guidelines.
