Gianluca DeMarchi’s MB-339 at TG2011

Some scale R/C models, depending the level of competition, or specific event, just

seem to stand out and an invite you to look closer. In many cases, the closer you look, the more you see and the more you are amazed. Time was when the drawing card was the level of detail lavished on the cockpit, then came superbly done surface detail. The bar has been ratcheted up a notch or two by this amazing MB-339seen at the recent International Top Gun event.  Gianluca offered to remove an access panel to show me the equipment compartment beneath. This is what I saw! Not only are all the appropriate hydraulic and prerssure gauges visible, there’s even a scale sized rag in the compartment with a spot of hydraulic fluid on it! It’s hard to imagine where scale modeling can go from here……
