Name that plane

Can you name this plane from these two images?  It will soon be appearing in an issue of Model Airplane News.  Now this is a classic plane that is really popular and many pilots would love to have it sitting in their hangar.  The Full size version comes in a single or two seater and you can build it from a kit.
