Seagull Pilatus Porter PC-6

Just a quick note……I just flew the new Pilatus Porter from Seagull Models. You can power it with either glow or electric, I chose the latter with a package from Horizon Hobby designed for the Porter built around the e-Flite Power 46 motor. All I can say is it is one of the pure fun models I’ve had in a long time! I’m not doing a formal “Flight Report” for MAN, rather a “dress-up piece which many of you have suggested we do more of. The Porter is now in the paint shop after fitting flaps and will emerge as a Fairchild AU-23 Peacemaker resplendent in SEA camo colors and fitted with…..wait for it…….a three-barreled minigun, Gatling-type, hanging out the side. If the reason you’ve avoided Warbirds in the past was because you didn’t feel you had the flying experience, that reason is now history! This Porter flies unbelievably easybut  it is still fully aerobatic and lands like a feather, even without the flaps I’ve installed. I think it’s as easy, or easier, to fly than the typical Cub!

Come on back to visit from time to time; I’ll keep you posted as to the Porter progress and, of course, you’re welcome to chime in here any time!
