Wow!!!!  Kingston IMAA Giant Rally Aug 20/21 2011

The Kingston IMAA Giant Rally Broke all the records this year – BIG BIG BIG – This year event was the biggest yet with just over 100 registered pilots.  I drove down from Ottawa on Sat morning and thought I was good and early at 9am but holly cow the place was so packed with campers and cars I had to look real hard to for a space! – Event Director Dave Penchuk and the Kingston RC Club made this event a great one!  The flight line moved steadily all day with 4 people flying at a time and the Air Marshalls kept things moving nicely – A target rich enviroment for me as the Model Airplane News reporter.  Gerry Yarrish was greatly missed but Model Airplane News did provide samples of the magazines for people to read!  I myself was stopped all day long with people thanking me for the job I’ve been doing for the Canadian Content Section – I really was not prepared for that!

I look forward to putting all my pictures and notes together to write up an article for Model Airplane News cause this was a fantastic first rate Good time had by all.

My pictures can be seen here:
