Sweet find! You never know where Model Airplane News will pop up!

Recently, Eric Boehm, Curator, Aviation and Aircraft Restoration of the Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum, in NYC found this vintage copy of MAN in a desk drawer aboard the USS Intrepid (CV-11). The 1946 August edition of Model Airplane News was in great shape and still had the postage and post mark on the cover.

Have you run across any old copies of MAN? Lets us know where and when you found it!  Or maybe you have a large issue collection of your own. MAN has been around since 1929 and there must be thousands of great stories about our readers and their memories regarding building and flying model airplanes. We’d like to hear yours.

I remember tracing some of the beautiful cover airplanes when the class was a little less than exciting, in the mid 50s.
