Editors’ Choice: Helicopter of the Year

Apr 28, 2012 2 Comments by

Our helicopter of the year is a high-quality machine that’s the ideal size for serious RC flying.  It has a very high power-to-weight ratio for unlimited aerobatics and has a commanding presence in the air. With a flybarless system, it can be set up as trainer or as an unlimited 3D machine. Congratulations to Align RC for their T-Rex 600EFL.  Click here to see this machine in action, and click here for an interview with Jeff Fassbinder of Align.

Bad choice on Heli of the year, the SAB Goblin 630 and 700 have the Trex beat hands down, in both looks and performance. What would you rather be flying, a Ford model A, or a current Lamboghini? I’ll stick with the SAB. You should stick with what you know best, airplanes, and leave the Helis to us.

the 600 size heli class is looking amazing!
