Top Gun Airborne Action

One thing is for sure. If you go to Top Gun, you had better be prepared to fly! This is not a beauty contest, these beauties must perform and at this level, the competition is amazing! Here’s just a few of some of the amazing flight shots taken by MAN photographer David Hart!

Chip Koneig brings in a Team scale Fokker Dr.1 Triplane.

Last year’s “Mr Top Gun” winner David Wigley drops a torpedo right on target with is amazing Westland Wyvern.

Lonnie Johnston’s WACO YMF-5 biplane piloted by Mitch Epstein comes in for a landing.

Gotha Bomber drops some bombs during a flyby.

P.J. Ash built and flew this impressive Martin Baker MB.5 Part of the very happy warbird Alley gang, P.J. made sure everyone was having a good time under the tents!

Mike Gross Sr. flew this 1/3-scale Sopwith Camel with skill and he earned a top static scale award along the way!
