FIB: flying inflatable BOAT?

Jul 25, 2012 5 Comments by

There’s a saying that even a barn door will fly if you strap a big enough engine to it, and this interesting vehicle helps to prove the maxim true. In this video, Polarismotor captures a nice takeoff, flyaround and even nicer landing of an FIB, or flying inflatable boat. How much would you pay to take this amphibious adventure? (Or would someone have to pay YOU?)

I wonder if the people in the powerboat knew them, if not they must have been a bit shocked.

I would fly it right now!

When we were down for a holiday in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, we saw a larger one of these taking people up to fly above the beaches down the coastline. I thought was really cool!
