IRCHA Scale – Joe’s Agusta 109

Aug 17, 2012 No Comments by

Joe Sauers Sr. is from Kingston, NY, and has been flying scale since 1978 with a Kavan Jet Ranger. He is his Agusta 109 using a Skookum 720 for control and 2 X 5000mah 6s battery packs.

Joe loves scale, but admits it’s a labor of love for all the work involved. First he had to build the mechanics, fit them to the 109, then take them out and fly them, the load back into the 109 and after some test flights it was ready for paint. Certainly a lot more work from the pod and booms we see all the time at the flying field.
