More Triplane Flight Shots

I just got these from my daughter Rebecca. She was using the new 100 – 400mm zoom lens! It was a little rainy so they are a bit on the dark side but I think they look great! Will definitely have to work on getting a 33% scale pilot figure for sure!1

I love the open spoke wheels and they were the reason I chose this version of the old Rhinebeck Aerodrome Triplane. It is Cole Palen’s 1960s variant without the Maltese crosses on the sides.

The kit is the Balsa USA 1/3-scale Fokker Triplane. It is built stock with the exception of the aluminum engine cowling and the spoked wheels both of which are from Arizona Model Aircrafters.

I am using the Spektrum DX18 transmitter, with dual receivers. One in top wing and one in fuselage so no aileron servo leads on the cabane struts. Works great as does the Zenoah GT80 twin cylinder engine turning a Falcon 26×8 prop.
