Top Gun: Live from the Flightline

Apr 29, 2014 4 Comments by

The 26th annual Top Gun Scale Invitational is underway, and Model Airplane News will posting live from the flight line all weekend! Gerry and I are thrilled to be here with more than a hundred of the best builders and pilots in the world. We’ll be updating the MAN site throughout the event, and for the “insider” scoop on the competition just “like” our Facebook page (, where we’ll be uploading short video clips, photos, behind-the-scenes info and more!

This impressive P-47 is being flown in Pro Am Sportsman by Pedro Sanchez. A four time Top Gun competitor, Pedro is entering the P-47 for the first time this year. The plane started as a Comp ARF kit but he added surface details, functional cowl flaps, scale offset elevator hinging and more.
