RCX attendees try their hand at flying RC planes at the Phoenix RC flight sim demo in the Horizon booth. Looks like these two guys are having a blast!

RCX rolled into Chicago and drew massive media exposure, even from Chicago’s local ABC news station. Model Airplane News publisher Louis DeFrancesco and Formula Drift champion Vaughn Gittin JR were interviewed live this morning on ABC 7′s Saturday morning show. Electric & nitro helicopters and electric planes filled the sky at the outdoor flight zone. Here, Jim Stark flies his nitro Thunder Tiger helicopter for the crowd.  

Horizon’s “try-me” booth is a popular spot on the show floor for kid (and dads!) of all ages! RCX attendees could try their hand at driving the latest electric monster trucks in the dirt track as well as fly the new Force combat helicopters in the flight cage.  

RCX Chicago opened today at 10 am and the fun will last until 8 pm tonight! With indoor and outdoor plane and helicopter flight zones, full-size (and RC!) drift racing, an indoor dirt track, mini car tracks and vendors with the latest planes, helis and gear, there’s something to please every serious RC’er, and when the [...]
