Color-code your transmitter

Sometimes it’s difficult to remember which switch controls which function–especially when you have more than one brand or model of transmitter. Try placing fuel tubing of different colors on the switches to designate their function. I use “green for go” for idle-up, “red for stop”  for engine cut, purple for throttle hold and blue for gyro. The switches with fuel tubing are also quickly identified while flying just by the way that the fuel tubing feels.
