Die Cast X Interviews Mario Andretti

Die Cast X Interviews Mario Andretti

He’s been dubbed “The Driver of the Century” – and with good reason. Mario Andretti’s name has been synonymous with speed, finesse, and tenacity since his early days as a dirt-track competitor in Pennsylvania. Now a spokesman for several popular automotive brands, and a multiple Hall of Fame honoree, Mario has been loaning his knowledge of motor sports history to the model car world, advising manufacturers on the finer details of racers from every era.

Our sister publication Die Cast X was honored when Mario shared his home, and his collection, with our readers and viewers. One thing’s for sure: no matter what the size, Mario Andretti knows – and loves – cars.

  1. Great interview. Mario was a craftsman driver and he has carried that drive and his memories into a special die cast race car niche. While my interests are model aircraft precision aerobatics and full size muscle cars I love to see applicable special interest stories such as this. It is no wonder he is so popular.

  2. Great story, great driver! Thank you for sharing!!
