FAA approves drone flights over U.S.

This week, the FAA approved the very first commercial flight of an unmanned aircraft over U.S. soil! BP has approval to fly an AeroVironment Puma AE over its pipelines, roads and equipment at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, the largest oilfield in the U.S. The 9-foot-span Puma AE is an electric aircraft that’s waterproof and equipped with infrared and optical cameras.

  1. It would be nice to have flying standards like the type that Estes Rockets and the Air Force had when they printed their information brochures, like the angle at which rockets should be oriented for flight etc.

  2. Look out folks, now Obummer can kill US citizens with a blessing from the government!
