Friday the 13th — Rules to fly by?

Quote, (wikipedia.org) “Friday the 13th occurs when the thirteenth day of a month falls on a Friday, which superstition holds to be a day of bad luck.” Boy when it comes to flying RC, we need all the “GOOD” luck we can get. As far as being superstitious, there’s all sorts of “dos and don’ts” for the hobby. Two of my never dos is, 1. Never paint or cover your plane all black (very hard to see and too close to being a black cat), and, 2. Never say, “I think I’ll put in just one more flight for the day!” It will increase the chances that it will end very badly!

RC Plane Crash

What about you? Are there any superstition “rules” you never break, especially on Friday the 13? Let us know.

  1. Hi Gerry

Any day can be unlucky so best use your LUCKY ? to ward off those evil spirits that seem to be hiding in your buddy’s flight box

Mostly I’ve seen guys who never fly without there LUCKY ” pilot figure, underwear, Model Airplane News Hat or model colors like Red/Yellow that for some unknown reason get you through the season without a crash.

I can say this becuase I just ran with sissors, walked under a ladder and had a black cat walk in front of me today! lol:)))))

    1. Too funny Ken! Thanks for your input! I do actually have a favorite RC hat! Hmmmmmm!
