Georgia Model Aviators featured on PBS

This must-watch video about the Georgia Model Aviators includes Model Airplane News contributors Jerry Smith and Pedro Sanchez! Atlanta’s PBS station, PBA30,  did a wonderful job  of showcasing what RC airplanes are all about, from ARFs to scale scratch-building, flying and even new technology like multi-rotors, First Person View and flight simulators. The club members were wonderful ambassadors for RC, and our hats are off to PBS for their positive,  professional portrayal of the hobby. Thank you to everyone involved!

  1. Thanks PBS for the nicely done tribute to the builders and flyers at GMA. Perhaps an hour long segment with more details would be appropriate some time in the future.

  2. Bravo – Great representation of an awesome hobby!

  3. What a nice recharge to my hobby battery. Not that I really needed it. 😀 Its great to see quality vids like that thanks

  4. That was a great little video, Maybe people that haven’t seen how it’s progressed over the years will start flying (again). Wouldn’t it be nice to see something like this on 60 Minutes … it would reach so many more viewers.
