For example, they can take advantage of its semi symmetrical airfoil to progress into aerobatics. Modelers who’d like to fly at smaller sites can make the pre-hinged flaps operational as well, simply by separating them from the ailerons and adding the required servos. The flaps will allow the Avistar 30cc/EP to make shorter takeoffs and landings.
Even more possibilities open up with the installation of optional Avistar accessories. Lakes and ponds become exciting new runways by adding the bolt-on Float Kit. With the Sailplane Tow Release, the Avistar becomes the perfect means of towing gliders to soaring altitude.
Made of strong, MonoKote film-covered balsa and ply, the Avistar 30cc/EP is built to be a long-time favorite. Its spacious fuselage gives the pilot plenty of room for installing his radio gear and chosen power system, whether gasoline or electric. The hatch is magnetically secured for quick access. The model’s realistic looks are highlighted by a fiberglass cowl and wheel pants; clear side windows and windshield; and a removable, black ABS cockpit floor. Decals are included for an N-number, cargo door and landing lights.
