Half-Scale Christen Eagle

Half-Scale Christen Eagle

With its distinctive multi-color feather motif, the Christen Eagle has been impressing airshow attendees for over 40 years. But when’s the last time you saw a 55% RC model perform? Lucky for us, the father and son team of Pete and Dean Coxon took this video of Robbie Skipton’s giant aircraft at the Large Model Association Much Marcle event in the United Kingdom. Enjoy!

  1. I wonder why the intense vibration is intermittent.

  2. Is that plane flying 3d? That plane can hover like a helicopter. Love the smoke effect coming from it as well.

  3. It’s a awesome plane. Everything is great ! Just one minor regret : there is no pilot’s bust in the cockpit !

  4. Beautiful! What’s the engine & pipes?

  5. I never thought I’d get airsick watching a video. Widenee put a pilot in it?

  6. Is that the Mobius camera?

  7. Sorry folks; Great model, super cool, admire the expertise, but a truly ‘BORING’ Flight demonstration!

  8. Sorry, but I find 3D flying boring as well.

  9. Very nice model and build. Worst video demonstration and a waste of my 12 minutes.

  10. That is some great flying!!! I also flew RC for several years and I have a 1/3 scale Christen Eagle just like the one on the video. My plane was one of the most stable RCs I have ever flown. This guy has a beautiful aircraft.
