Lakemaid Beer Tests Drone Delivery

Lakemaid Beer Tests Drone Delivery

Finally the perfect use of a multi-rotor copter: delivering beer to ice fishermen.  While we aren’t sure what drives people in Wisconsin to sit on a frozen lake, drill a hole in the ice and try to catch fish (when they could be perfectly comfortable inside on the couch), we agree that beer will help make the experience more pleasant. Interestingly, since this test video went public, Lakemaid Beer president Jack Supple got a call from the FAA: even though they were only flying “80 feet high,” the copter was within 30 miles of the Minneapolis airport.

  1. It was Minnesota, not Wisconsin

  2. 80 mi. what’s the problem with the distance. My club is only 5 miles from an airport.

  3. Sorry, 30 miles
