Last week out at my flying field I was lucky enough to catch up with Rocky McCarter from ACE/Thunder Tiger. He had come out to test fly their new Katana-45”electric aircraft. This is a great looking plane that is easy to see in the sky and Rocky was able to put it through quite an array of aerobatic maneuvers. The flying envelope for this plane is outstanding and it is really an easy and fun plane to fly. Any aerobatic pilot is going to really enjoy the Katana-45. The Katana is the latest fully aerobatic e-powered airplane in the growing family of Thunder Tiger electric air models. The machine features quality balsa and lite ply construction and is covered in a striking bright yellow / blue checkers scheme and striped underwings for high visibility.
