Workshop Tech Tip — Micro Adjustable Servo Arms

Workshop Tech Tip — Micro Adjustable Servo Arms

When you get into 3D aerobatic flyers, especially the lightweight, indoor profile designs, you quickly discover that standard micro servo arms just don’t provide enough control throw for the extreme maneuvers the airplanes do so well. Many modelers make their own from plastic and glue and/or screw the extended arms to their stock servo arms. A much neater and more professional solution to this is the new Micro Adjustable servo arms available from those clever guys at DuBro.

Depending on the brand, micro servos have a variety of spline patterns on the servo output shaft. So, to accommodate them, DuBro’s Micro Adjustable Servo Arms are designed to grasp over the splines and are tightened with included screws.

Features

  • Fits Micro Servos with output shaft diameters from 0.152” (3.88mm) – 0.185” (4.70mm).
  • Four arms included (2 with small dia. hole and 2 with larger dia. hole).
  • Complete with washers, bolts and nuts.
  • Made from 100% virgin glass-filled nylon for strength and durability.

  1. Maybe a good idea for all servo arms?

  2. I like Tips, and I like clearly labelled Sponsored tips! Good for MAN and DuBro.

    1. I like tips too, Sponsor labelled or not!

  3. I have bags of various manufacturers’ servo arms – none of which (apparently) fit the servo for which I need a new arm. With adjustable arms such as these I could have just a few spare arms! BUT why not ONE size per bag?

Good idea, DuBro. Keep ’em coming. 🙂

Having been a full scale pilot and airplane and engine mechanic, the tips are great – And not being in the cockpit when I crash, is nice also 🙂
