William Warburton is building a heavily modified, totally scaled-out Gold Edition Top Flite Corsair, and he has shared some of this aircraft’s special details with us. Check out his aircraft’s cockpit and pilot seat in process!
William writes: These pictures depict the building of the cockpit. There is a functional pneumatic tube gauge at the top row of instruments. The plunger has graduated marks indicating pressure that protrude when the air tank is filled.
I purchased the “green” seat; everything else I fabricated based on pictures for actual Corsair cockpits. If you look closely at the metal seat belt clamps (and others) you will see the detail I added in the configuration in a black “X” pattern – this is the stitching together of the seat belts.
Masterful work! Extremely impressive attention to detail. Well done!
Todd,
Thank you for the complements!
