Well, today was a great day. The old saying, “A bad day at the flying field, is better than a good day in the office.” often rings true, but I am lucky enough to often split my day at both the office and the flying field, so I never have a bad day at work! Well, almost never!!! Anyway, today we took advantage of the sun and test flew two airplanes at the “Fairfield League of Yankee Radio Controllers” (FLYRC) flying field at Mitchell Farms in Southbury, CT. We flew the new ElectriFly F-16 EDF from Great Planes (reviewed by Craig Tracten) and the cute little “Gee Bee Sport” from Alien Aircraft (reviewed by Bob Labriola.) The F-16 is fast and sleek and made with a composte fuselage while the Gee Bee is built from a lightweight laser-cut wood kit and flies like a dream and lands like a feather. Both will be coming up soon in MAN and Electric Flight magazines.
Here are a few pix of the launches we did before lunch!

Looking forward to the articles.
Hey Gerry, are sandles required footwear for proper launching? 😀
Mike Gross
Hey Mike! thanks for noticing! :^) Actually I try not to wear normal shoes from Memorial day to Labor day if I can help it!
I hear ya! I avoid long pants, shoes, and of course ties until September myself!
