Awesome aerobat! ElectriFly Yak 55

Awesome aerobat! ElectriFly Yak 55

Pilot Report by Mike Gantt

The first time I viewed a Yak and a Sukhoi, I knew that they were obviously something special. Most pilots I’ve come across have had Yak-54s in the pits, on the flightline, or in the air. That’s cool and all, but a championship RC pilot Gernot Bruckman, really caught my eye when I saw him brilliantly flying a model Yak-55. This rarely modeled Yak-55M made by ElectriFly is superb in all facets. Rounded wingtips, a rounded rudder, and certainly the trademark rounded fuselage are not only eye candy, but they’re also in addition to an abundance of coolness that comes with this model airplane. With a nearly 51-inch wingspan, this model 55 includes aluminum landing gear, a fiberglass cowl, wheel spats, a huge canopy, carbon-fiber wing tube, removable wings, a good-quality hardware pack, and precut decal sheet. The instruction manual is easy to digest and when followed, affords almost anyone the ability to build the plane. If you’ve mastered a low-wing plane, you are ready for some incredible flights. Beginners should get help from an experienced pilot as this airplane is designed for extreme aerobatics.
