Conrad Naegele of Minnetonka, MN, built these Big Brother planes from plan #08991. Into RC modeling since 1978, Conrad is starting to get into electrics but does not like ARFs. He cut three of everything for his three planes; one is glow powered and the other two are electric. The glow plane is run by a Norvel AME 061, and the other two use a Himax 2812 0650 and Rich-Moto Rc28-1150. Both electrics use a Phoenix-25 ESC and 11.1V 1300mAh LiPo batteries. All are covered in Ultracote lite. He slightly modified the dihedral angels on two of them and changed some wood dimensions for weight reduction. “All have flown and they flew very nice,” Conrad writes, “with 10- to 20-minute flights with some good soaring.”
