Building the Vibe 50 NEX Cont.

The Vibe 50 NEX is a true kit, with many bags of parts requiring the builder to really get to know the helicopter, which is a lot of fun, and also will be of great benefit for repair or maintenance in the future. Every part seems to be designed and manufactured with three things in mind – light weight, performance and quality. Carbon parts are used where strength and light weight are important, such as the side frames, while metal parts such as bearing blocks are of the highest quality. As you can see in the photo, there is a lot of room to get at the engine for maintenance, the fuel tank is soft mounted on rubber pins for both vibration protection and ease of removal if needed, all of which sits on top of composite landing gear.

The next step it to assemble the head, washout unit and swashplate.  Standby for more on that in a day or so. Model Airplane News - RC Airplane News | Building the Vibe 50 NEX Cont.
