The new Cox 5030/18 brushless outrunner is a high quality, performance oriented power plant intended for use on large, aerobatic or scale aircraft in the 11-22 .lb range. Power can be supplied by NiCad, NiMH (up to 32 cells) or 10s LiPo batteries. At 21.8 oz. and 234 rmp/V, this smooth running powerhouse can swing props in the 20-22 in. range with authority. For more aerobatic performance and lower current draw, use of props in the 17-18 in. range will provide maximum thrust with excellent run times. The included 90A ESC is an OPTO coupled unit, which requires the use of a separate receiver battery and switch for the airborne radio system. The adjustable motor mount includes all the hardware for assembly and allows for a large variety of installations on all types of models.
