Check out this stunning, giant-scale RC Dornier DO-X. The Dornier DO-X was the largest, heaviest, and most powerful flying boat in the world when it was produced by the Dornier company of Germany in 1929. This RC version is powered by 12 4-stroke engines! Is there an RC plane with more engines?

Certainly a gorgeous example of fine craftsmanship and scale detail- congratulations on a great build!!
And equally stunning is why German aerodynamic engineers, having access to the fairly advanced theory, practice, and wind tunnels of 1929 aircraft design would choose to invest so much money and time in arranging 12 engines in 6 push-pull tandem pods when the end-result calculations indicated mediocre performance, noise and vibration issues, and the hassle of keeping 12 engines running at the same time. No doubt the “ghost of Howard Hughes” is still laughing about the DO-X.
WHICH ENGINE?? MFG SIZE
