The B-24 Liberator Heavy Bomber, named “Witchcraft” is part of the Collings Foundation collection of beautifully restored WW II aircraft, and is the only flying example of the type. It is the last Liberator and the Collings Foundation uses it as an education platform to keep the memories of those lost in WW II alive.

B-24 Liberator History:
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was designed with the high aspect-ratio Davis Wing. In combat, the wing had drawbacks as far as durability was concerned, but it increased fuel efficiency and gave the B-24 a longer range than the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. On December 29, 2014, the Consolidated B-24 Liberator, one of the most famous bombers of World War II, turned 75 years old. More than 18,400 were built, making it the most produced American wartime aircraft. It gained a distinguished war record with operations in the European, Pacific, African and Middle Eastern theaters.

Very nice i love it i like aircraft its part of history men and women fought for freedom
The Witchcraft was built by FORD MOTOR CO. — NOT Consolidated. Easy to tell – the nose wheel doors open ‘OUT’ on Fords, ‘IN’ on Consolidated. I flew 62 missions in the Navy version [PB4Y-1] doing anti-submarine patrol in the Atlantic. Wonderful airplane. It brought me back.
I’d love to have a model but my pocket is too shallow.

First thank you for your incredible service… 62 missions… Wow!
The title of this Consolidated B-24 Liberator, refers to the designer/original company name, not the exact color scheme individual aircraft of the plant where it was produced….
Many people don’t realize that the B-24 is the most produced American wartime aircraft. With over 18,400 built, It gained a distinguished war record with operations in the European, Pacific, African and Middle Eastern theaters. It followed in the footsteps of the other great American WW II bomber, the B-17. The B-24 brought about the following improvements over the B-17: • A longer range. • A higher top speed. • A heavier bomb load. • Tricycle landing gear. • A quantum leap in wing design and performance
The B-24J was produced in greater numbers than any other series and was the only version produced in all five plants. The design is the Consolidated B-24 Liberator…
This model ships to customers without final aircraft nose art, aircraft number-markings applied; so customers can have almost unlimited options in modeling their favorite B-24J’s…
Happy Landings and thanks for sharing your personal experience and thanks again for your incredible service!
I would love to help get one for you if there is a way. Thanks for your service.
Ill say Mr Peacok Deserves a B-24 model for free. his sacrifice of service and his courage to maintain Americas and Human Freedom not just in Europe but the world is a deed money cant buy !! I also suffer from the shallow pocket syndrome but I clearly understand what this man is worth. My most deep Gratitude to either manofacturers or anyone who can make this gift a reality. Caesar Vizcarra 49. Mexican citizen that spent 24 years working sharing and learning much about americas people past present and future great times. GOD BLESS AMERICA !!
My dad was a bombardier/navigator on a B-24 – flew missions from Sicily to the Ploesti Oil fields. He flew the required number of missions to return to the states for his 21st birthday.
The plane looks very close to my American eagle B-24 it has the same specs also. Same wingspan and weight, or close. Mine has foam core wings and glass fuse, does it break in the middle for transport? Model looks great, are the turrets sold by themselves. Thanks
After one of the Ploesti Oil field raid, 5 of them landed in Pamukova (reserve) airfield, Sakarya, Turkey ; due to fuel shortage, during WWII.
