Hangar 9 UV-18 Twin Otter

Hangar 9 UV-18 Twin Otter

Hangar 9 Presents the Perfect First-Time Twin

Hangar 9’s latest is a scale model of the UV-18 “Twin Otter,” a military version of the DeHavilland DHC-6. It features a trim scheme based on the three UV-18B planes used by the US Air Force Academy cadet parachuting program. Although the Twin Otter is a multi-engine model, the high-wing design and Clark Y airfoil improve low-speed handling and provide stable flight characteristics, making it a terrific first-time twin for intermediate to advanced pilots.

· Great durability and ease of repair through fiberglass cowlings and fairings

· Easy and fun landings thanks to included fixed gear and large landing flaps

· Unique subject matter that makes the plane stand out on the airfield
