Horizon Hobby Inc. is proud to announce that we will be releasing our new Model 12R ‘The Beast’ tm in the near future. This model, along with the full-size ‘Beast’ was a crowd favorite at the Joe Nall Fly-in last week at Triple Tree Aerodrome in Woodruff, SC.
The airplane design has been a collaboration between the full scale builder/designer Mr. Kevin Kimball and our very own Quique Somenzini. Kevin Kimball has secured copyrights on the outline of the airplane, the color scheme and he has trademarked the ‘Beast’ name; Quique has the exclusive rights to use these three items in model aircraft. This project has evolved over the past 24 months and Joe Nall turned out to be the perfect place to unveil the duo together.
The full scale ‘Beast’ is owned and piloted by Bryan Jensen and he intends to make limited appearances in 2009 and begin a full slate of Airshows beginning with the 2010 Airshow season.
