Fly the Hovering Square Loop

In this video Jason Benson shows us how to perform the Hovering Square Loop.  John Glezellis explains the maneuver in the January Issue of Electric Flight in his column “Aerobatics Made Easy.” Be sure to read John’s article for the finer points on this maneuver. Before you know it you will be flying it to perfection.

  2. nice vid. didn’t get to see john G do it but but pretty cool trick to do in person. should be used in etoc. i got to do it a few times in my yard before dark with my eflite extra 3d profile (bnf) but i played with tweaking it abit and found something even cooler based on this trick. a “Torque Rolling Square Loop” very similar to the hover square loop except keep the plane rolling through the whole sequence and instead of a KE or harrier across the top and bottom a rolling harrier instead looks awesome! and the up is a piece O’ cake and the down line is a lot easier than you’d think since the plane wants to do it by it self anyway. going to try it for sure with my 40%er thursday. 🙂

    1. I would think that would make it a little easier, but the cool thing is that it would be more impressive to watch. good luck with that.
