Joe Nall 2014 – Only 7 More Days!

A new flying season is upon us, spring is in the air, and the Granddaddy of RC flying events is only one week away!  That’s right; Joe Nall Week 2014 starts in just a few days.  Nestled in the Northwest corner of beautiful South Carolina at the world-famous Triple Tree Aerodrome, this year’s event will run from May 9-17th and is sure to offer tons of RC excitement.

Every year, the Nall reunites old friends, leaves first timers in awe, and welcomes everyone with a host of amenities on par with a top-notch resort.  Veteran Naller’s are always anxious to see what new features Triple Tree has to offer.  This year is no exception.  The already plush facilities now boast a new pond, camping area (some sites with RV hookups), and ornate foot bridges providing convenient access from the new campground to the existing shower/restroom facilities.  The Triple Tree elves have been busy indeed!

Although coined as a giant scale meet, Triple Tree makes room for every class of model.  With multiple flight lines scattered across a mile and a half of RC utopia, the Joe Nall has dedicated areas for giant scale, electrics, heli’s, 3D monsters, float planes, and control line models.  Everyone has a place to call home at the Nall.

Speaking of giant scale, while aircraft with wingspans far exceeding the minimum IMAA requirements have become the norm around Joe Nall Week, rumor has it that a few ginormous scale planes will be in attendance this year that are sure to leave spectators in amazement!  It’s quite impressive to see so many skilled modelers in one place putting their giant scale beauties through their paces.

If this has been on your “To do” list for a while, there’s no better time than the present.  Grab your planes and sunscreen, point your car towards South Carolina, and join the rest of the RC world for the 2014 Joe Nall Week!

Detailed event information can be found on the host site at www.tripletreeaerodrome.com.
