ModelAvionics Link Maker 9000

Although I certainly enjoy building helicopters, I have to admit that installing ball links on threaded rods is not my idea of having a good time. After both ball links are started on the rod they get harder and harder to turn as I try to get to the desired length. However, Model Avionics has come out with their new Link Maker 9000 to make this a really fun job. First you must calibrate the 9000 for your particular ball links, which only takes a couple of minutes. Once this is done further calibration is not needed until different ball links are used. Then you simply set the right portion of the link maker to the desired length. Start both ball links on the threaded rod, install in the Link Maker 9000 and turned it on. The motor turns and the ball links are automatically threaded to the correct length. This is especially handy when making several connecting rods to the same length. Although certainly not needed, the Link Maker 9000 is both a fun and useful tool to have in the workshop.Model Airplane News - RC Airplane News | ModelAvionics Link Maker 9000
