If like me, you are a scale RC modeler, builder and flyer, I’ll bet you have at least a little interest in military aircraft. Well, the US Naval Aviation history is full of great aircraft that translate well to scale RC aircraft. The early “between the wars” designs were mostly fabric covered so construction is not as difficult as the aircraft made famous during and after WW2. I am always on the lookout for documentation sources and I just found a great book that serves that purpose.
This new nicely illistrated coffee-table edition is a great find for anyone interested in classic military aircraft, Airships and Navy vessels.
Written by E.R. Johnson, United States Naval Aviation 1919 – 1941 has 352 pages and includes several 3-view drawings and 40 color profile illustrations as well as 605 period B&W photos.
