Pantera P6 Build Cont.

Now that I have the TT Redline 53 H engine and the Hitec HS-7945TH digital multipurpose servos I can continue with the build of the Pantera P6. The first photo is of the right side of the helicopter showing the fuel mixture servo connected to my home-made fuel control. I used a soft nylon servo horn, cut away the part I didn’t need, and then drilled out the center hole to just fit snugly over the main needle valve. The linkage still needs to be adjusted, but that will have to come after the radio is installed.

The second photo is of the left side, showing the 50-class ProMuffler from Genesis Hobby. The new v2 is optimized for larger displacement 55-class engines running 15-30% nitro (but still works nicely on the 50).  Quiet, and with throaty rasp at full song, it allows the engine to mantain its full rated power with an easy set-it-and-forget-it needle valve adjustment. Note the standard servo for the throttle, with linkage yet to be adjusted. Model Airplane News - RC Airplane News | Pantera P6 Build Cont.
