Pitts Special S-1C “Little Stinker”: Betty Skelton flew the full-scale version (now in the National Air and Space Museum) to victory in the 1949 and 1950 International Feminine Aerobatic Championship.  Herb scratch-built this scale version from plans he found online and writes, “It’s beautiful flyer once it’s in the air, but the short-coupling of the stubby fuselage makes it a challenge to handle on the ground.” It’s powered by a Thunder Tiger F-75S 4-stroke.

  1. Does anyone have photographs of Lil Stinker which clearly shows the writing and images on the fuselage.
