Further Description/Back Story |
I had an industrial accident several years ago necessitating replacing my hips so had a bunch of down time.. What better way to pass the time than building my own air force. This is the result of just the gliders. I made a count the other day and came up with 17 airframes total, glow and glide, that are complete and need to get in the air. Will start with these. The smallest glider has about a 36″ span with full aileron control and will scream along at about 100 knots. the largest, the Bird of Time of course will cruise leisurely. There is also a German kit that was made in West Germany, I picked up at a swap meet many years ago and had to have the instructions translated. The cat in the photos weighs about 20 lbs to give an idea of scale. |
