Project Zero: World’s First Electric Tilt-Rotor

AgustaWestland just unveiled a top-secret project: a man-carrying, electric tilt-rotor aircraft! Dubbed “Project Zero,” the aircraft’s two tilt rotors can take off and land vertically, hover like a helicopter and fly forward as fast and efficiently as a fixed-wing plane. Each rotor has its own electric motor that uses rechargeable batteries. Even cooler is that when the aircraft is on the ground, it can “windmill” its rotors to recharge the batteries!
