We have been launching gliders from winches and high-starts for a long time but one cool niche of the glider side of the hobby is RC aerotowing. Aerotowing involves using a tow plane to pull a glider aloft just like they do in the full-scale soaring world. It’s a wonderful way to expand your skill set as either a glider or tow pilot and generally a lot of fun. Large events like the Horizon Aerotow have several tow planes active and a line several deep waiting for a tow. Enjoy this coverage!
