Smartphone-controlled paper airplane!

Smartphone-controlled paper airplane!

PowerUp Toys takes the ubiquitous paper airplane to new heights! Last year, they introduced an electric conversion kit that can propel a paper airplane and this August they plan to offer a control system so that you can control it with any Bluetooth-equipped smartphone! Free airplane templates, inexpensive ($14) electric power systems and the upcoming control system sound like a great way to introduce kids to RC (and a lot of fun for experienced pilots, too!). Check out the video … we can’t wait to get our hands on a few of these!

  1. Would have been nice to see the powerplant attached. And, how it intergrated with the smart phone.

  2. Hey that paper airplane would be great for the Kids at our local school gym where we fly every Monday night during winter month.( I’m from N.B. Canada, it cold here and we have ton of snow.)

  4. I have Wi-Fi receivers that work with Smartphones. I use joystick attachments. This looks like fun. Especially in clubs. How many can be flown at a time?
