Just a few sneak peek pix showing some of the details of this cool all foam round nose warbird. Impressive features are 3-section split flaps, electric retracts, landing- and navigation wingtip lights, and an engine sound system that’s tied to the throttle through the ESC. It features a 2 inch speaker that provides, sound for engine start up and shutdown. Watch for the full review in the December issue of Model Airplane News.
At 51 inches in span this Texan is large enough to be impressive yet easy to transport fully assembled.
The retracts come installed . They are electrically driven, no servos needed or used.
Where the outer wing panels join the wing center section is this connector port. The wing lights, flap and aileron servo leads plug in and then the outer panel is slide into place and secured with screws. Not the beefy wing spar.
