Super-Scale STOL

Super-Scale STOL

This 1/3-scale Wilga can really put on an airshow, and we especially love its one-wheel touch-and-go’s! Built from the Frisch Modellbau kit by Matt Harrowven, it has a 145.6-inch wingspan and is powered by a DLE 170cc flat twin gas engine. The 57-pound plane uses a Spektrum DX9 radio and a PowerBox with telemetry. Thanks to Pete and Dean Coxon for taking this video at the LMA show in Norfolk, UK.

  1. fantastic modeling and flying of the world’s ugliest airplane.

  2. That is one fine model, I am most impressed!

  3. Thank you Debra, for being who you are, I guess some folks in the pass could not understand , or except a female into the all male club. But still their are not enough Ladies involved in the Hobby. I know for a fact that Women can out fly men any day of the week. So you got your work cut out for you. Hank McCabe

  4. After watching a lot of these videos, it seems that most of the really giant models are being built and flown in the UK and Germany. I just don’t see that many huge models being flown by US modelers.

  5. very nice looking aircraft
