Provisions for a functional tail hook are provided with attached linkage that can be servo operated for realism, or it can remain fixed. The oleo strut on the rear softens shock loads and is sealed to keep out dirt and other debris. The rudder tiller arm is spring loaded to protect the servo from shock and will deflect under load. A positive lock in the down position prevents the gear from retracting and damaging the servo. The tail wheel is retracted by servo or air piston, not included.
